Today I left home and drove up to Humber College's North Campus to study Electrical Techniques. I have lived in a small town my whole life so I decided to come to Toronto just to see something a bit different. I have previously worked as a butcher for 6 whole years but I had always been planning to move on to something where there's a bit more money to be made. So today was the day.

I have decided that I do indeed want to stay in Toronto after I am done school. It is a cool place to be for now I guess, and there's more work here than there is back home. I have enough savings from my butcher days to rent a place for a few months after I am done living in residence here. I have done a lot of planning and estimating and it is a good idea to have a job before I'm done school so that I don't have a stressful gap where I'm renting but not earning anything. After seeing the aptitude of some of my classmates here at school and hearing of some of their test scores, I've decided there's actually a decent chance of me doing well once I find a job because I'm ahead. I paid for my own school and watched the money disappear from my bank account, so I have different motivation than my peers here. However my teachers have also warned us that it's hard to get your foot in the door, especially right now. Moving to Toronto to school felt pretty big in August but now I'm already in another transitory period, because this school program is only 8 months long and I can't stay in residence after that, so I'm going to jump right in to a new job and new living situation, but I'm more excited than scared

In other news I have learned some HTML myself and am less reliant on AI to make this website for me. In other other news I am growing in hatred for HTML
